have been to many Washington spots and love em but my friends and I are kinda lookin to try some new ones out this year... I grew up in Arlington and know darrington pretty well but have never sledded segelson ...... looked like maybe this year might be a good year to try with so much snow....anybody been up there yet this year?....don't mind riding the trails some but we would prefer to get off trail some also....is it mostly a 63 mile trail system with very dense trees or with some exploring over time can you find some "areas" up there to burn some hills and play a little? thank you

With the snow level so low you're in for about a 12 mile road ride on fs 18, hang a right at the intersection which will get you to the ridge top. Best chance for off road riding at the top, not much, trees have gotten more dense and fairly limited. Continue on the ridge near the end is a sizable bowl that can be fun to drop into and climb out of depending on coverage. Not much up there anymore, views of Baker and Whitehorse are nice on a clear day, usually untracked, not a lot of traffic up there anymore.

put the loggers back in biz up in darrington and lets clear some local lumber, :) thanks for the feedback ill still go run it...why not
