Does boondockers turbo really just sit on top of the oil tank without any fasteners? It seems like the turbo would come out of the tank on a jump.

What are you jumping? LOL No they are very solid after assymbly. I have never seen any problems and have been around quite a few.

I hope so. It just seems that even the whoops on the trail would knock it out of the tank. Of course I don't have my pipe installed yet. Maybe it will seem more stable after that.

Oil tank should go into the rubbers for the can and be held in place by the same pin that holds the stock can in. Then yes the turbo just sits on top of it but between the exhuast set in the tunnel and the pipe holding it in place from the top it won't move.

mine has one spring going from the tank to the turbo. I even questioned that, but nothing holding it on at all would concern me.

The new 2010 style to 2011 style tanks bolt the turbo to the tank so wile it may look like nothing is holding it there is in fact fasteners that hold it down.

Jump out

By the time you have the intake and exhaust bolted on they are not going to move but ya I like it bolted and solid.

I don't have the new 2010 to 2011 style. I bought a used one off of an 08 M6.
