Last year I installed a Polaris almond/blue primary
(150/310) spring and 10-56 weights. (up from 10-54) The sled already has a 1.5" paddle and was jetted down 1 step to 410 (I think. May have been 400). Now it really rips out of the hole but at WOT I am only running at about 7800 RPM. I believe that 8300 to 8500 is suggested. Not too bad on the trail but on a slushy lake it is really tough. Falls off the pipe and starts to bog. Have to really slow down to get it to backshift so I can get out before I sink. So I am assuming that my secondary might need some attention. Belt rides properly on the secondary with the top about 1/16 out of the sheaves. Feel free to share your hot setups and suggestions. I have read ALL the post i can find about a spring and helix change but I can't seem to find any of the helixes that are suggested. Discontinued maybe? And I would really like to change the secondary spring instead of just changing holes. Even if the suggested replacement is stock as this is the original with about 5K on it. Thanks in advance. K
