So i just got a seatbelt ticket today. Anybody have any ideas on how i can get out of it in court.

I have herd if you pay the ticket with check and make the check for more then what the ticket is for they will send you a check back for the differance. Don't cash the check they can't process the ticket tell it's cashed. Not sure if it works just what I have been told.
no clue but I think the seat belt ticket is B.S. just taking more of our freedom of choice away. Its a good thing to wear it but if I dont wear my seat belt who am I hurting but myself? Just something else to get money outta us.
When i was a senior in high school I challanged a seat belt ticket and won. I just told them that i took it off because it was stuck in the door and thats when the cop drove by.

Nice! When I was a senior I got an additional 5 bucks tagged on a ticket for no seatbelt...after I paid it I was pretty mad because my 1970 datsun wasn't required to even have seatbelts...it was old enough that it was exempt from the old seatbelt law...not sure what it reads anymore though.
I have no Idea but take it to court and speak your mind ! Seat belt tickets are the biggest BS revenue generating law out there. They say its for saftey if thats there logic then why dont kids on school busses have seat belts? How are motorcycles even legal at all. I dont where my seat belt as an act of civil disobedence.

I would just pay it and move on....not worth your time, the law will not get changed. JMO-
Besides....seatbelts has saved my life twice....I support the law because it's tough to control a car when you get thrown to the passenger seat and run into someone because you weren't wearing a belt.....it CAN save more lives than just the person wearing it.

I wear mine now after i think it saved me from getting thrown into the back of another guys truck!
i agree, and ya its the law and theres nothing we can do about it but i think its odd that thats a law but there is no requirement to wear a helmet on a road bike, atleast around here there isnt.

Ya, pretty messed up isn't it? A car is a much safer place to be even w/o a seatbelt.
Regardless of the law, I always wear my seatbelt. Also, last year a close friend of my daughter was killed simply because she was not wearing hers.
