Seat shipping ideas.

Hey guys, another member and myself have come to an agreement on the sale of an Apex seat. We're getting crazy prices like over $120 just to ship it via UPS's online estamator. (ID to NH) I see other prices like $40 to ship the same seat both here and on ebay. Any ideas or past experiences shipping a package this size??? Thanks.

Check with Greyhound. Before 9/11 you used to be able to put packages on the bus for a small fee, that the recipient could pick up on the other end like a passenger.

I don't know if they still do this, but it would be worth trying.

UPS or USPS will be about the same. I have shipped over 50 seats and it is always right about $50.00 anywhere in the states and that is with insurance. Take it down to the UPS store and have them price it our for ya.

Motley your seats are probably much lighter though. When I took my Apex seat off that thing was a bear.

I would assume this is why they are quoting such high shipping cost.

i ship everything fedex ground its cheaper. create and print a label right on their website with a credit card. or you can go to any fedex/kinkos store. ups is a rip off and usps will cost you a fortune for something that big.

I've shipped them through business's I deal with that have UPS accounts. I think they get a commercial discount and it is much cheeper.
