Sealing the exhaust outlest on a M8 with HPS can.

Does anyone have any information on sealing an aftermarket can outlet on an M8. Snow gets in under my can. I see the 2010 m's have a gasket there but it looks to big still. I have a hps can and it has a diameter of about 2-2 1/2 inches. Anyone have a fix to this.

Im talking about the gap where the can leaves the belly pan.
Thanks.

Update

The M1000 update kit has a boot that fits in the out let and then the new cans have the flare on it as ti fit tight against it. I have not tries to put one on an older 8 but it is probably possible.

I bought one of the rubber seals for a new 1000 to put on my 09 m8. It had the stock can but the hole in the seal was almost as big as the hole in the belly pan. I ended up sending it back. Now I'm putting a SLP pipe, and can on it and I may just try to seal it up with some hi temp rtv

I cut out a piece from a silicone baking sheet too. Label says its good up to 500F. I wish it was a little thicker although there isn't much movement with the can so it should be ok. It looks like there is a gap around the outlet, but thats just a shadow. I cut the hole almost a half inch smaller than the diameter of the outlet, then stretched the material over it. Hopefully it works.

Where did you buy that stuff at? I looked at walmart. They didn't have anything like that. Thanks for posting.

kitchens and bath I think. Maybe bed bath and beyond? Sorry, I'm not much of a shopper. They all look the same to me.

I went to a rubber shop today and had some 350 degree rated high temp rubber. They had a piece of scrap they let me have for free. I got it rigged now and need to drill and rivet. Thanks.

I used a Silicon pot holder. Its a little thicker than a baking sheet and said it was good for 600 degrees, plus it was only $6.95. I cut the hole a little smaller than the pipe outlet and stretched it over it. It has held up good.
