Scuffed Clutch=BAD Crank?? Edge 800

I'm looking at a Wrecked 800 edge that runs- I see that the clutch has a hard scuff on it by one of the outer bolts. How do I tell if it has crank damage? and should I have the clutch balanced?

Before getting serious about buying it, you want to pull the clutch anyhow and measure crank run-out. I would say the clutch didn't damage the crank, but this will give you a first hand look.....

Check the crank run out like Lake says. Balance the clutch regardless. Cheap insurance to help make the crank live as long as possible.
