Yeah, same. My skid and rails are taking a beating this year. My nearly new sled looks pretty bad from all the 3/4 mile dirt road screams to the snow. Might be time to go around the snow berms. I noticed this yesterday INSTALLING these polaris scratchers.Ice and it’s a normal start for every damn snow park in Washington, I don’t get it, sled rips but getting to the goods has been horrible for 2 years
This 100%, depending on conditions wire scratchers just draw a line in the snow and throw up very little sometimes. Buddy was running Ibex / Skidoo imitation scratchers and kept overheating, ruined a day of riding for us, my same sled with ice storm kept cool... the new Polaris ones are still just wire scratchers and even though reverse safe, will have this same problem. Get ice storm scratchers, and/or look into an aftermarket cooler as a last resort...order a set of ice storm scratchers, much better than OEM scratchers, 7 or 8 guys we know have them and all agree they work the best by far.
