What's everybody doing for scratchers. I am going to run something this and need some ideas.

Regular sled scratchers worked great for me. Timbersled is drilled for them. I didn't use them a ton, but there were a couple days where they saved me a set of hifax.

I used one of my Ice Storm "ski mount" reversible ice scratchers and mounted it on the rail and it works awesome! I find one scratcher is all you need just to lubricate the hyfax as there is no heat exchanger in 98% of snowbikes.

If anyone does happen to need a set of "standard" ice scratchers and live south of the border, I will ship you a set for $34.00 USD to your door.

I think between the lines designs makes a snow bike specific single scratcher as well that mounts to the ski that may work OK as well.

No not those... They get sucked under your track when you lean and takes out chunks of you paddles. Happens to me last year.

What I found on those is you have to turn them out away from the track as far as possible and still hook them in the rails when not needed. On my last two RMK's I rarely put them up and never had problems. DO NOT LEAVE THEM DOWN WHEN LOADING!!

They have worked great on my sleds... But you lean a lot more on a bike...

Been using one old regular scratcher on my bike for 2 years now.
Works great.
Just One throws enough snow to keep the sliders cool no problem.

Any normal metal scratcher works...the cheap ones you can get anywhere ..

yeep just run regular sled scratchers. ran just one all last year and hifax made it through the year.

Pics? Link?

Sorry, don't have any close up pics of it, but it bolts up just like any traditional ice scratcher no drilling needed on my TS anyway.
Gets used on the trails as that's where it's needed and it doesn't damage the track at all when turning/leaning.
Well maybe it hits the track, idk, but think about sliding a sled around on hardpack, same thing and it doesn't hurt sleds.
Best $0 mod I did to the bike.
But then again, I put scratchers on every machine before it even hits the snow. Even the kids fan cooled sleds.
It's like pre-paying for your first set of replacement hyfax but you never wear them out again.
