My mom lives in the area and I have to say I've been very dissapointed in the snow there these last few years. Used to be able to boondock all over the meadow lakes swamps growing up, now she's lucky to get two feet in a whole winter. Sigh! Looks like Im leavin the toys at home for another christmas.

i think i made it up baldy a couple of times last year, and a few before that. we just havent had the snow to make it worth it. sooner or later there will be enough snow to ride up church and hit the hill though...

Hey Turbo Tim, where do you live in the valley? I've been over baldy a couple of times in the past but not enough snow last couple of years. Used to live right at the base of it, now I'm closer to town but still would be an easy ride. Hit me back, I'd like to meet and ride with some forum members.:beer;

I'll pm you when I go up next time .

I live off seldon and am planning on riding up baldy this sunday. I know for a fact there is over 2 feet of new snow on top (brother in law has willow side cabin).10 years ago 90 percent of my rides were up baldy and I am dying not to drive for once.

Im not too far off Church Rd myself. I was also thinking of heading up to check out the new snow this weekend. Not sure what day though, trying to hold out for the sun.

Hatcher Pass / Baldy

The road from the last chance coffee up until the mine had and least a 1ft. of fresh powder and we were the first sleds besides a 4wd that went up that road Quite a speedway! Light was real flat

We spent most of the day making sure the east end of the trail up to blackies ridge didn't get too buried. The snow on top was wind blown but found some good holes on top.

Went up D. Churchill which is the other side of the church rd access. Crossed the top of baldy at 35mph to were church rd should have came up. But the winds on top were about 40knts. Our tracks were just about gone when we turned around.
Again Flat light but a lot of fun. I've got some pictures but not smart enough to attach them

Havent gone up yet this year, but had a couple decent rides last year around this time of year. I live close to Church on the Rock a little bit further north than church road. Can probably get to the trailhead in 10 mins or so.
