Scary accident up at Guardsman's today

Went up as part of my brother's bachelor party today. Snow conditions sucked but you could climb anything (hero snow).

I talked to one of my brother's friends about a chute I had climbed once before, but the turnaround was very narrow at the top. He climbed it just fine, but on the way down he lost control on the icy descent, jumped some rocks, and slammed right into a 25 foot boulder, launching him about 60 feet down the mountain. I'm honestly surprised he wasn't significantly injured.

It messed up his sled pretty badly but we were able to tie the two skis together and limp back to the truck.

The funny thing is you can see a sled rolling down the hill at the end of the video...only, that wasn't the damaged sled. It was our other buddy that tried to stop on the hill and lost it. LOL

Thats scary. Glad he was ok.
If I pulled up on an accident like that not knowing if my friend was seriously hurt and had to let my sled roll down the hill I wouldnt think twice about it. I don't think it was that "funny"

Oh, I agree 100%. It was more funny after the fact once we established that everybody was OK.

crazy!! Glad he is ok. Snow sucks right now. Icy and hard then soft and slushy.

Damn, that was Brutal.
I've been to that hill before. Needs to be the right snow for sure. Well, and some good judgement too. LOL

I thought he was going to need a doctor after that spill.

I'm glad I didn't try to bum the 1100t off you. I'm sure I would've shot that chute. Might've ended up ugly.

Was that him that landed right uphill of the sled? That was a huge drop after the rock. And you couldn't even tell how steep it was until you rode up.
