I have no snow !!!!! Bored and shop is spotless !!!! So what little things could I DO ??

Relocate my Rear Arm mount on the rails?? Very easy and would take 5 minutes !!

Then I could take beer cans back and check the radar AGAIN!!!!!!!

Switchback Assault or 600 RMK owners how do you feel about the relocation of the rear rail hole ??

I've read many posts that say it raises the backend up . I'm not real excited about that. I like mine level .. Well vertical most of the time !! Anyways this would even out the variance after you drop front and bring the approach angle back ! I'm making Titanium drop brackets up now so I can raise the rear to compensate for the extra height .. Any other advantages ??

Are you referring to moving the rear mount 5/8" towards the front of the machine? It seems like this could possibly have an adverse effect to the balance of the machine and or the ski pressure scenario....

Free mods have me curious. Lol. Not much snow here either although we just got an 8" dump but Temps got pretty cold. I just put a spacer under my bump stops cause my rear axle is hitting my tunnel when catwalking. If I move my mounting point ahead that should help as well.

the move

If you are referring moving the front of the skid to the upper hole in the tunnel.????

In the upper hole you will get more ski pressure, less weight transfer/traction on hard pack. It will trench less in deep snow. I felt it also gave me a tad more top speed, due to less of a dog leg in the track.

I ran my 800 assaults this way when I was running a 2" track. Helped over come the push created from the track via more ski pressure.

You will have to loosen and re adjust the track tension if you swap holes.

I'm also not exactly what you are referring to Dave. I've also played with the front mounting hole on my assault when I had the stock suspension, way too much ski pressure in front top hole. I wasn't able to hang my skis over obstacles in the Yoop as easily. I don't miss the stock suspension, Timbersled skid in the assault is bad *** and goes everywhere my 155" will.

Dave,
If u have the coupling rear skid you can move that reR torque arm back 5/8..u will like it. Did it to all mine and several others and helped a lot with shock pressure and rear sag
