what are people doing with these running boards? i really dislike these on my sb. collect way to much snow. has anyone changed the front support/hoop that goes up over the tank and put the narrower ones on with betterboards? and made it work? any info/advice would be great. i was thinking of changing that out and buying some of the 13 running boards only concern is the support where the rear of the skid mounts. it is further back with a 155 then it is on a 144

Same boat as you, that is my only complaint about the sled. I know I need to do something as does my nephew for his RMK 600 144. Ify ou figure anything out, please let me know. I would be willing to go in on a limited run of Better Boards or something like that. I put WRP boards on my switchback 136 last year and they were much better, still needed something better though. I wonder if there is something very close, a different sled that might work? I may have to make a trip to a dealer that has all makes and models, I think the running boards are pretty close to a Yamaha or a Free Ride. Need something for sure, only complaint on the sled. Now that I look at it I don't know why you couldn't add better bars and better boards from a RAW 144, only thing is you would be left with the narrow boards. Not sure I would like that or not, any thoughts?

Apparently there is. I took one look at the running boards on the SBA in the brochure last spring and said to myself "that ain't going to fly."
