Saying Hello

Hello all,
New to this site.
I started on a 75 Panther moved up to my dad's early 80's Pantera when I was 15, rode 'till about 18.
Then 2 years ago, I got back into it and picked up a 2002 Pantera 600. Rode that for 2 years and decided riding 2up sucked.
This year I picked up a 2005 Polaris 900 50th aniv. (for 3,400) despite all the bad press. It has 1200 miles, all the updates done, new spindles, a new helix in the secondary (not sure which one) and generally looks real clean.
Now my wife and I (and occasionally 3 year old) can really enjoy the trails.

I have 2 boys, 1 and 3, live in NEPA, ride the nep sno-trails, and live right next to the trails, no need to trailer.

So far this site seems to be the biggest deposit of Fusion info and I plan on soaking it all in.

Thanks

Welcome to the site:beer;

Sounds like you got a clean sled, as long as all the updates have been done you should be pretty happy with it. You'll find most of the guys here including myself have the RMKs, but much of the info is the same and there are a few other Fusion fans running around as well. There's tons of info in the stickies, so be sure to check them out, chances are good you may find what your looking for in there, and if not there's lots of knowledgeable guys around here to ask.:face-icon-small-hap

Thanks, seems the biggest things to check are TPS and motor mounts.
I'm not looking to make big power, just something reliable to cruise the trails and maybe open it up once in a while on the air strip.
I am a bit confused about everything that goes into checking the TPS, from building the tester, to the method to do it. It seams the video link is no longer available.
Do I need to remove the exhaust to get to everything?

Does anybody have a home made tester they want to sell?

Finally, should I forget everything and just ride it as is?

It snowed yesterday during a round of golf, cant wait for the real thing!!

Thanks.

Welcome to the site.

I guess I will say a hello to everyone too. i have been a member of this site for a long time but I never posted anything until recently when every search I did for info kept coming back here.

I wish I had paid more attention a couple years ago. All the info on here has really been helping me out on updating my sled and emptying my bank acct.:face-icon-small-ton

It's nice to see I am not the only guy who is riding a 900 and who like its. I've ridden the new dragon 800's and I still prefer my 900, there's no substitute for torque!!!
