Had a great weekend of riding the Sierras. Hooked up with the boys from the " Mucca" and planned a LTS to Castle ride on Saturday. John A. led the way , and as usual it was all boondocking with little if any trails linking it up. We hit Lola, White Rock Lake and made it as far as Devil's Oven before Fred's 900 had mechanical problems which forced us to turn back before finishing the trip.
Sunday was beautiful at Gold Lakes. The snow was great ( still powder on top) not crusty like LTS, and it was a bluebird day! Same crew on this ride minus my brother and Dean, plus we met a local named Brock who wanted to tag along with us. Round Lake, Mud Lake and Spencer were all punished. John's TM7 was very impressive all weekend and I'd like to thank him for pushing us all to keep up with him, it always makes for a good ride. It was also nice to ride again with Fred and cousin Rick.
The pics that are overcast are from LTS and the blue skies are from Gold Lakes on Sunday.
