bout 1 1/2 years left

can he cancel and get refunded, or does it just run out?

do I own the contract now that its registered to my vehicle and if so, does that mean i can get a portable and set it up as well?

The service on the contract can be transferred. So, he can have the signal sent to whatever new vehicle he gets, or a portable unit.

They charge extra to use the same subscription to shoot the signal to your pickup and a portable unit.

quite possibly. sirius xm stock is down 96%. liberty bought 40% since the merger but they have a seriously heavy debt load. kind of funny that i ran across this thread-i just got done hearing that my $3k worth of stock is now worth $120.

My subscription has run out and I have yet to re-instate it.
There are still a few free channels even without a subscription, and after a while you end up listening to the same stuff just like radio.
The way to get around the multiple subscriptions for home, car, garage, etc.
Is to buy a unit like the pioneer Inno... Then all you have to do is have a home dock, car dock, etc and you only pay for one subscription.
Simply take it out of the car dock and into your home etc.
My inno is a few years old, so I'm sure there are better models out there, but it sure is nice... Records content, you can tune select artists or songs and it alerts you if they come up on any channel, plus it has a built in antenna so you can use it as a walkman.
