Salmo BC and area... Riding People

I'm moving to my place full time in Salmo next spring just past sheep cr.. In the while being i'll be out in the area many times throught the winter, about twice a month. I like to start checking out the area and meet people to ride with.
I got tons of backcountry experience from sledding to snowboarding mostly in the Monashee mts and the Sawtooths being they are near my back door.

Moving from just east of Vernon. Start building the new place in may. Been hiking around sheep cr. and also spent some time in ladybird in the summer, both look pretty wicked. Was last year up at the shacker cabin for a sled in ski trip, but I wish it was a sled trip pucked snow on us every night up there 2ft fresh to wake up too.

I do a lot of riding in that area, drop me a line we’ll go! I have a place at Erie just West of town, some sweet spots not only at Sheep but you got Barrett, Lost, Porky’s, Grassy, Marble, Grady, Siwash, Gold Range & The Summit and that’s all within a 5-15 min from you! Note there is some private land check with locals along any club info for the area 1st. Then over the hill to The Norns, Ladybird into the Toilet, man it’s endless in the Kootenays! Btw say Hi to Vince for me he’s got a place up Sheep Ck as well, you can’t miss him! Oh and beware of the run out Chutes one at the Old Mother Load mine site loads up early and when it lets go She's down and up the other side! SS

Nice pics. Looking forward on being out there. Was up Mt Reno this summer, look super nice up there looking around. I'll be in and out every 2 weeks pretty much after xmas.

i moved away from the kootneys in 94, and started sledding in the shuswap area. i've been living and sledding back here for a season and a half now, and i don't think i've even seen half of the riding zones yet. definitely good stuff in this area. are you ever free to ride during weekdays?

Pending on the work that is linedup for the week sometimes I can get out during the week but most of the time it weekends.

I'm heading out to the koots Dec 3. to go see my lady that in Nelson till our place is built in Salmo. Both of us are hoping to hook up with someone to go sledding with one of the days next weekend in the area.

Treeboy did you make it out? Never got a chance was too busy with work but some buddy’s went out snapped a few pics from the area. Snows coming in now so should be looking real good for riding around Christmas and If your around the area stop in for an hot rum at Erie Creek.

Yup got out riding, but not in the Salmo area, north of Nelson. I call that ride: Beautiful Place Priceless/ End Of Day Costly. For all the years i've been riding, it was bound to happen someday. Tweeked front end, Damn you rock monsters....
