Bad way to start the season for sure! First had a hint of this Sunday night when "Greenskeeper" called and asked what I had heard. Nothing. Searched all my sources; nothing.

Met Greenskeeper for coffee this morning in Cle Elum and we got the word at the same time. Victim at a Birthday Party and riding with his girlfriend on the back out of Easton ....Dodged an elk and hit a tree. GF woke up later in hosp and didn't know what happened. Victim was the manager of a local Cle Elum fast food Restaurant.........RIP sir........Let's all be careful out there, the season hasn't even really started yet?
 
I heard about this yesterday from a buddy coming over from Roslyn area..
he didn't know the full details. just that an Elk was involved in a death.

RIP..

Sad news, feeling sorry for the victim, girlfriend, and the family, it's one of those things that you never consider happening, but does. Condolences to the family and Rest in Peace. :rose::rose:
 
I read the story a bit yesterday, still can't believe this happened to start off the season. I was home in easton all weekend and didn't hear anything about it so it was a shock to read the headlines yesterday.
