There is a sect within the muslim comunity that believes that "god" will return to the earth only when the earth is in dire peril. That is to say about to be distroyed.

They have no problem starting a major war because they can't loose. If they are killed they go to heaven and recieve their virgins. If they win it would bring about the end of the world and they get their god back, who would imidiately change the world to what the muslim world would call nurvana. It is a win/win situation.

Now, guess who is a major believer in all that.

I am currently reading a book called Epicenter. THe author has been talking about this for years. The current leader of Iran believes that the 12th Iman will come when the world is in enough peril, on the verge of catostrophic destruction. That is when Mohamed will send his 12th Iman to the Earth and the entire Earth will become Muslim believers.

The scary thing is that this all falls into line with what Ezekial predicted in chapter 38. For the first time since 600BC

1) Israel exists
2) a treaty or pact exists between Magog ( Russia) and Iran
3) Iran is commited to attacking Israel with the help of Russia
