?'s on 07 800R Summit X

Hey boys... Went riding with the old man on the weekend with him and a few of his buddies, and one in particular was on an 06 800 Summit.

The thing is, this sled ROCKED compared to my dad's 07, and even my 08 M8 with a pipe!

Now the 06 has apparently 145 horse out of the box, and it just has a can on it.

My dad's, the 07, apparently come sout of the crate with just over a buck fifty, right?

Why does this 06 HAMMER?

It's been a year since my dad really serviced his at all, so I mention to clean the rave valves, etc. (His is also geared down, but to what, I'm not sure)

The 06 seemed to have way more throttle response, and was had way more tourque. This bombardier stuff is all.... French? to me, so any input might get him climbin' a little higher. Thanks boys, I'll be sure to check SW in math class tomorrow, haha.

Many of the 07's came with pins with no or little weight while the 06's had a full metal pin. A lot more clutch weight makes the TRAIII feel like it has a lot more grunt than the TRAVII (and a lower engagement). Welcome to the magical, wonderful world of clutching the TRAVII

the 06 is a series 3 800 and the 07 is an 800R. The series 3 800 makes more mid range, so its a little less finiky with clutching. With the proper clutching in your 800R you should be able to beat up on an 06.

very true.....get it clutched and he will walk all over the 06 even with the stock track!

Would he beat up on my M8?

There's know comparison on the trail, and when I climb, he'd rather be messing around in a meadow of deep stuff; whic is also a riot.
