S module/cross member

Has anyone changed out just the cross member verses the whole S module. Unfortunetly when you break the cross member and order the part it comes as the whole S module with cross member already attached. This would be a ton of work. I would like to take out the new cross member from the S module and install it in the existing S module. I just want to know if anyone has done this.

You can order the suspension support separate. You can replace it but you will have to take the s-module off to do so. OR...you could cut the permanent bolts out of the e-module and drill holes for new bolts. They would be very hard to get at with the motor still in the sled I wouldn't recommend it. The s-module isn't hard to change or remove to replace the suspension support.

I did one this year. VERY EASY! Take the whole thing off and replace the whole thing. The cast piece and the aluminum piece. Much easier, then you don't have to take off that stupid cast piece. Keep it all together, and just put the whole thing on!
