RX1 Crank question

Hey guys!
doing a build on my RX1 right now! Will be getting boost here asap, (looking at a Simmons CPR front mount turbo kit)
But my question is, two years ago it dropped a rod bolt, and this of course ended up going through the oil pan etc!
But the only damage done was to the crank, it is slightly blued! Is getting the crank grinded enough or what do you guys suggest?
Will post pics after dinner
Cheers
Justin

Thatts some major heat there, I personally think its done, I repair heavy equipment and I constantly deal with this situation where bearings go on gear trains and overheat and that amount would be too much risk to reliability to reuse, the metallurgy is affected greatly, but nonetheless it doesn't hurt to take it to a reputable machine shop and see what they think

Image crank is done. But what I do know, stay far away from cpr turbo kit! I had one & new of 4 others.

I have a good crank for an RX1 if interested. It has been mag particle inspected by Lakeside. Pm me if interested. I also have an RX1 Alpine turbo kit if your interested. Comes with 2860 turbo and low km 4 into 1 header. Makes awesome power.

Even If you find a crank I would want to know the dimensions on it. Yamaha does not make any undersized bearings for it so you have to make sure it meets the specs for bearings that are available.

Ken.....

beware of simons cpr. kit is not that great and good luck getting ahold of him if you need anything. I did not even realize he was still in the turbo business
