RX-1 under tunnell exhaust?

Anybody built their own under tunnell exhaust for the RX-1? I'm building up a sled, and want the exhaust to exit under instead of out back. I've got a couple of Ideas, but would like to see pics if anybody built their own. I was thinking of cutting the stock exhaust right where the two pipes becomes one, on the part that's connected with the muffler. And just weld on a small pipe from there, and exit it all the way back. The problem is I think it might be too loud for me...Anybody done it any other way?
