boy does my pro shake and rattle as the rpms come down just above idle. is any body else experiencing this vibration. it's almost as bad as my old 2008 summit x. any suggestions? 375 miles and belt looks super. perfect 8200 rpms at 8000 feet. love it but not the bad vibration.

It's hard to say since we don't know exactely how much it is shaking and rumbling. Maybe try to find another Pro and make the comparison. Obviously there could be engine mount issues. Some people reported the bolt coming out of the mount but I think it was a small group. Have you done any mods to the motor?

If you have E-start, the hose clamp that holds the starter can come loose and the starter motor vibrates like crazy. First time I heard it I thought the bottom end was coming apart.

If no E-start, check your motor mounts. Seems like if your motor mounts had gone south you would be chewing up belts.

Also, your primary may need to be balanced. Some are better than others, most aren't as good as a reputable clutch balancer taking the time to get yours right versus production line.

no mods. bone stock.

i felt like if it was the mounts the belts would of been an issue but will check. i dont know if i will be off the snow long enough to send the primary in for balancing. wonder if my dealer can do anything?

Mine vibrates alot more at idle than my 09 dragon did. It seems if the clutch was way out of balance the vib. would get alot worse with rpm. Mine also smooths out with a little more throttle.

agree 100%

when your blurping around in the trees is when i notice it most. very low rpm's. at higher rpm's seems smooth as silk so hard to imagine bolts loose. maybe just a rougher primary than the norm? dont know if a rebalance would be worth it?

The XP guys I know that have ridden a PRO also commented on how much it vibrated.....might just be normal..?? I would compare to a couple others.

I hear ya on that one. My big 1155 twin would vibrate like crazy at idle...but when you got into it a little bit, the harmonics would level out and it purred really well.

While you are troubleshooting, check the actual weights of your primary weights. I don't think this would cause vibration, but some have been off by as much as a gram each! Mine were supposed to be 10-60's and they were 60.5 each (at least in balance).

Oh yea, mine vibrates also. Used to bother me, coming off of a 700, but I dont hardly notice it since I have gotten used to it. I have replaced one motor mount, broke with 70 miles on it. Have not broke one since.

all the new pro's i have ridden have a lot of vibration at low rpm and when you stop and the sled goes down to idle. have heard its because the new chassis is so much stiffer.

I came off a XP and this was the first thing i noticed. Nice and smooth as the rpms climb tho.

I think there was a thread somewhere on how much you can move this motor, even with your hands. It does move alot more than the IQ, but the motor mount bolts come in from the side vs. more vertical in the prior years. The motor will move up and down, front and back, but it will not move side to side or twist. Maybe the vibration can be noticed more because of the solid torque stop? less noticable with the old rubber puck stop?

I had the same question/concern. Talked to my dealer (Tri City) and was told by the service manager that the vibration is when letting off the throttle slowly with slow decrease in RPM's and just before disengage. Nothing to worry about according to him. Do you all buy this?

thanks for all of your posts!

after reading thru many threads i think this vibration is normal for a pro and i just dont need to worry about it. all my bolts are tight. clutches aligned, deflection is good, etc. i guess if it aint:face-icon-small-win broke dont try and fix it!
