wont even fire on pto side its so rich. pull plug off pto side and it runs crappy and pull the mag plug with pto on and it wont even fire.
what ive found so far
-with plugs both out i put a rag over both holes and the pto side soaks the rag after 3 pulls and mag side is not noticably wet.
-134 psi mag side 132 psi pto side compression cold
-6psi fuel pressure at idle, usually settles down at 3psi once ive been riding
-450 deg mag 180 deg pto at idle
-rave is closed
-switched plugs and no difference
-getting good lookin spark as far as i can tell but havnt used a tester. was arking from boot to head

gonna pull the carbs off now. just wish mine wernt such a pita to get at. just lookin for any tips or ideas what to be checkin for. recently had carbs off to put new girdles on. wondering if the float is stuck up from when i had the carbs upside down? just guessin

thanks - mike

I'd have bet spark, but it sounds like you're good there and also compression. New boots when doing the girdles? Should be fuel visible if torn. Did a reference line to the carb come loose? I had one "float" over the barb. More of an issue when trying to throttle up vs idling but the side was getting more and more fouled the more I messed w/ it and ended up w/ very lopsided egts. I've never completely had reed failure but that would be the only other thing I would check while you're in there.

got it figured. must have been some bad gas from last yr. i drain my tank each yr and there must have been a bit of old crap left in the lines. seems to be running great as usual now. now if only i could figure out how to keep my pyrometer probes from blowing out. im actually thinking about scrapping them since ive never really needed to adjust much at all for fuelling. they are nice when u have an issue though

So nice when it's the simple stuff. Been running KOSO probes w/out issue. Welded bungs, not clamp on. Usually have to tighten once after the initial if I've had them out.

Yep. Usually is something simple. I've got the weld in bungs but I might try grind a tiny lip on the probe so the ferrel has something to grab or try new bungs. Thx again
