rt1000 way too much fuel.....HELP

I have a 2005 rt100 summit, been sitting all summer in garage with 1/4tank of gas. Put 5 gal of fresh premium in it and tried to start it. No luck, not even close. Took the pipe of and drained all the gas out of it and took out the injector fuses and turned over till gas quit puking out the y-pipe. Checked the spark, looked good, put new plugs in and tried again. First pull delivers a fireball, and not much on sencond pull and by then its flooded again.....repeat process! I have been pulling on this beast so much in the past couple days that something should have given in by now, either my arm or the sled. Any one got any ideas?????????

rt1000 help

I have the same sled and the only 2 times ive ever not had it start up is when there fuse for the Igniton or something like that was burnt... the battery connection was loose.. but i just recently had the whole wiring harness replaced due to a few worn thru and corroted wires... my thoughts are that maybe somewires are grounding out.. but if u have spark, im not sure.. and it will still start even if the battery is so weak to not even light up the displays... so im not totaly sure... i wish i could help... but my best thoughts might be that wiring harness... or some wires..

I would also try replacing the 3 relays in the fuse box, I have had no start and won't rev past 6000 issues caused by the relays.

Check all of your connections--especially under the motor--Mine got dirty and had a bad connection and caused all kinds of fits for me--would run okay--then would not--then would start like yours and then would be fine--run great then shut it off and would not start--played with the relays and seemed to fix it--but it was the connections under the motor--they were dirty and had poor contact--Dirt and belt dust etc. Just one more idea for ya.

H20SKE...

The thing that confuses me is that it started up fine in May when I moved it last????????? Nothing has happened since then, other than sitting in the garage. Could injectors be stuck open?????????

outer airbox

Check and make sure you have a good connection in the sensor to the outer airbox, mine was doing the same as yours as far as puking fuel, it would run until it would foul a plug. It would be very hrd to start form then on. One more thing to check

does it make a noise when you press the RER/Start button??...

your low pressure fuel pump is probably toast...this happens alot at the beginning of the year because of sitting...

you probably have to replace that...

to check the relays just switch them around and try them...

Stiff

It does make noise when the rer button is pushed, doesn't that charge the high pressure fuel line when you push it? And then if you just let it sit after you push it, for 30sec or whatever one of the relays clicks and then the tach light goes off.................like normal........right? I thought it was a bad relay so I switched them all around and it didn't make a difference, but its clicking like its working so I dont think that is it.
