Hi,
Looking at the T-stat for the 08 800R Summit on BRP online parts cataolg,,, it looks like part number 509000499 should work. Looks like the "hot" from the engine goes to the large nipple on the top of the housing (thermostat in). With the large nipple on right side going to the exchanger for cooling when the stat is open (thermostat outlet),,, There also is the other two smaller nipples, with the left one looking like a bypass to allow coolant to circulate in the motor only (when the stat is closed), and there's another nipple that goes to the tank to keep the lines full of fluid (filler hose),,, Anyway, if I understand the 08 diagram I will likey need to buy the "T" (part 509000372) to get the bypass coolant back to the engine when the thermostat is closed,,, as well as some small connectors to hook up the filler hose (or I may plug this as I alread have a filler hose setup the may work as is),,, does this sound correct, or are some of you not doing the bypass hose as there may be a small hole in the thermostat for bypass, or one could add a small hole with a drill,,, Anyway, if anybody has done this I would be curious as to how many lines you had to run,,, Right now I think I will use the "T" and run the bypass back to the motor directly, but the "filler" nipple seems like it may not be needed (I'll cap it) as the RT's hose runs right under the tank, to get its fill ,,, Thanks,
