RT1000 or M1000

you can get an RT to run well, but it takes a lot of blood sweat and tears. The M1000 will run perfect from day one and its a bit lighter

Amen to that MAX!

The RT's do make more pow, but the M is a far Superior mountain chassis

It Really comes down to what feels best for you. I ride a RT my buddie has a M1000. He beats me i beat him. I dont like the feel of the M chasis so for me it would be easy. A few minor mods and the RT is a blast. The M just got a new CE track and now i cant touch him so thats in my budget for sure.

I thought I had used some sort of diode/capacitor or something to clip voltage on my truck to fool it which allowed me to get more power...I thought it was called zenner diode but I could me mistaken as this was a few years ago.

the camoplast 3 inch extreme just bolts right in to your rt chassis. good bye kitty.

baj

i was looking down my tunnel and it does look like the 3" might fight without much hassle, that would be freakin crazy

as far as M vs RT

for the money, its hard to beat an RT, you arent gonna find a decent M1 under 5, as for RTs 5 grand and there loaded with mods, take your pic, i got mine, takes some owrk to get em right, but im in mine 4000 and it runs with sleds worth twice that much and more, so i dont complain. a new m1000 will beat it hands down, BUT they are 2x as much, so its all about the $$$

I owned an RT for 3 years. That sled is huge in the torque department. It does not compare to the M-1000 in that category. The M-1000 though is considerably lighter as the '05 RT was a hippo.

Now I run an XP800 and this sled is so much better overall. It outperforms the M-1000 in every way including total climbing ability.

I guess the moral to my story is that I thought I wanted a big displacement, high HP power plant and learned that lighter is so much more important.

It's just something to think about.

i have had my rt for 3 years now and its been a great sled. like everyone has said it takes a little more to get it right but when theyre dialed they stomp a stock m1000. i work in a cat shop and have a 09 m1000 demo sled, and it is a far better boondocking sled. a smaller guy can handle the cat better than the rt. if your bigger and ride agressive you'll like the rt.
