RT question re reeds

Had the throttle bodies off for cleaning and tried to figure out how to get the reeds off as well. Access to the bolts sucks.

What are your tricks to this? I'm thinking I need 1/4 drive swivel 8mm socket as a minimum. Looking for input from somebody who has done this.

Think I moved the coolant bottle out of the way, as much as I could without removing the hoses. Use a very small ratchet, and have a rum a coke on the go, some tunes (no too loud, as that helps to set me off when things go wrong LOL), and don't be in a hurry,,, those bolts suck,

thanks for the input. re-installed the throttle bodies, fired up the sled and sprayed some carb cleaner in there to hopefully get by for the next 2-2.5 months. Will take it apart in July/August when the snow pack is done. I like your idea of the water bottle move. I may even consider unbolting the motor mounts and prying up the motor an inch or so - man their in there tight.....

Had to adjust the idle down by 1000 rpm!!! Clean throttle bodies..........

Craftsman makes a flexable extension. Looks like a very tightly wound spring. Works great. I use it on a 1/4 drive ratchet. Works on the Y pipe bolts also if you get the get the right socket/driver setup. More than any other sled I have owned the 1K loves clean reeds. Too bad they are such a PITA to get to.
