RT 1000 Secondary Clutch problems

Bought DJ clutch kit for my RT 1000 and when i went to put the helix in 1 of the 2 cir clips that hold the helix in came out in 4 pieces. Put new cir clip in and installed DJ helix. Put 200 miles on since clutch kit was installed and today took secondary off sled and found that 1 of the 2 cir clips was busted and it came out in 5 pieces. The helix is wore and has gouges in it at the top of the angle. Anyone know what is causing this to happen.
