RT 1000 Oil Adjustment.

Cant find my stupid Book on the RT 1000. Well i pulled the motor and inorder to due so you pull the oil pump adj cable off. I need to know the adjustment for this cable.

Per the 05 shop manual for the RT, the "B" dim is 0.650" for all 995s. This "B" dim added to the slop (or gap, dim "A") at the throttle leaver should equal the distance at the cable adjuster when you pull the cable housings apart (dim "C"),,, likely about 0.8" of gap is very close if your throttle cable is relatively tight,,, Hope you have done this before as it needs diagrams to explain fully,,, if not this is a confusing setup,,,

Also, per Service Bulletin 2005-8, the spec was increased slightly to 0.705" (17.9mm) for 05 RT Summits over 8000', I think to reduce oil to help with the plug fouling that was a problem with some (ECM updates and a higher idle (2K) fixed my minor plug fouling issues). RTs under 8000' are to use 0.626" as the "B" spec,,,

Hope it helps, if you search you should find a diagram,,, there may be a newer spec(?),, but I usually run with a 0.75" to 0.8", works out to about a liter per tank of fuel, maybe a little less,,, still runs, going into 5th season,,
