RSI Goggle bag

Good idea Jim. I have the same bag and haven't installed it yet, that looks like the way!

Bag

I use the one here by WPS. http://www.gobigparts.com/WPS-Universal-Vented-Under-the-Hood-Storage-Bag.html

I didn't use the sticky mounts. I just used the supplied zip ties to connect to the over structure where it comes up to the steering post and then the tube it self closer to the front. Then I used the existing holes in the hood and consil near where side panel closes for the other side. It is in a perfect location obove the silencer but stay far enough above even with weight in it to not be a problem.

Yup I just used the simple design of zip ties as well. I only have to cut 1 zip tie when I take the hood off.

Be careful with the RSI or WPS bags when putting in goggles. The goggles will melt if too close to the pipe or can. I also had problems with the sitckeys melting off and sitting directly on the pipe :face-icon-small-sho You can guess what happened to my goggles and gloves. Also had trouble with the zipper melting on the WPS models. Best bag for me yet is the Poo brand bag for the PRO. Ya, they made one bag that works as intended!

Had the same issues with the RSI bag on the Pro. Worked great on the IQ but melted the lens on the pro. The pro bags (from Polaris) have foil on the bottom side.

I made a plastic piece bit bigger than the bag. Drilled holes so the eyelets pulled tight, then drilled holes thru it and my air box shelf on my iq and pop riveted it. The I zip tied the bag to the plate. Thought about a plate the size of the bag and pop riveting it inside the bag sandwiching it.

Well since I am always taking off my hood to work on my pro I did not want to have the bag attached to the frame . I also run vents on the side panels that I designed and am having a hard time getting my muff pot to heat up .I may have to build a shield around it . The plastic tabs will fall off that is why I used push pins and J-B weld and it holds it shape.

Install it tight enough and far enough away it is a non-issue.

Ive heard the polaris goggle bag wont dry gloves. Anyone think a guy could zip tie the rsi bag above the heads? Worked well on my dragon, but was also hot enough to melt goggles in that location.

I want to run the polaris goggle bag for goggles and the rsi bag as a glove dryer.

They do dry gloves but they take a little longer. My light weight klim gloves where soaked and it took about an 1-2 hours to dry riding in some deep snow.

Yah i have two pairs of those and the motorfist equivalent. On deep snow all day days with lots of stucks i soak all three and dry them and soak them again. I still think ill try to fit a rsi and polaris bag, more dry stuff the better.

Make sure and put frogskins. or something like it, over the brake vent on the hood. Fresh pow over the hood, the snow lands on the silencer, and you have a lot of steam on your gloves, or goggles that are in the bag. If you use the RSI bag like I do.
