I have a 08 XP and have been paying more attention the RPM gauges as I had it changed to an 860 and obviously had to have the clutching worked on.
The thing I've come to notice is that the didgital and dail gauge do not corespond with each other. It's hard to sinc them up exactlly when you're bouncing around but, on a straight pull or on the trail holding the throttle steady, for instance the dial will read 8000 rpm and the didgital will read 7700 rpm.
Sometimes they will be closer in reading but never the same and never closer than 200 RPM, no matter how long you hold steady on the throttle. The dail is always higher than didgital.
Prior to the 860 I only paid attention to the dail as I personally read it easier.
So my next query is which gauge is acurate and which do we set the clutching to.
The sled has 4100 km (2,400 +/- miles) on it, if it makes any difference.
Thanks Will
