Rossland dec 27-jan1 - locals around?

Hi all. We are 4 flatlanders are coming out to visit a buddy in Rossland Dec 27 to jan1. We would like to hook up with a local(s) to kind of show us around and ride with if possible. We are told that '24 mile' is a good area for us. We do NOT want the steep and deep or anything crazy. We had terrible conditions at home last year (think 2 feet of snow total all winter!), so if we get a couple clearcuts or meadows or foothill type riding in, that would be perfect.

so if anyone would care to show us around, or if anyone has some recommendations for some 'avalanance free' zones for us crazy flatlanders, that would be great. We will be staying at the Rossland Motel.

Will be riding 28, 29, 30, 31 . If we could hook up with some locals that would be great. Just don't get us into trouble

24 mile would probably be good for you. Just follow the groomed trail to find many, many cut blocks to play in. Not a lot of steep terrain to get you into trouble. I was up over the Bonanza pass yesterday, and there wasn't a ton of snow, but it will be better than the 2' you had last year, and it's snowing here now.
