Roof Rack Hauling

We just bought a minivan with a roof rack.

I would like to haul stuff like my waterski on it but my tie-downs for my dirtbike are too big.

Any suggestions on what to use in order to secure stuff to the rack?

I would go with the hardcover lockable thule cargo box since they are completely weatherproof and dont have to worry about someone walking away with your ski while you're figure skating.

Will save the jokes till tomorrow, but look at the yakima racks, love mine so far, no complaints

Strap them to your side windows with Duct Tape so that no-one you know will see you and be able to expose your shame.;)

Seriously though....A Minivan? how humiliating for you.

Were all your siblings sisters?

JK!
I owned one once, Well my wife did...It was good for camping...

I got a minivan for free one time from a guy we were putting windows in for, told me if you can get it to work its yours. New battery, and vaccuum hose, and an oil change and that thing made me $500 profit.

Only thing it was good for was hunting, slide doors worked good for having to bail and shoot, could come in hot and hunting party could jump ducks along the road, fun times.

I have.....I mean my wife has a minivan. With the 3 kids and soccer, baseball, football and scouts it has its place. It has way more room than the Expedition did and gets better gas mileage. It is also AWD so I can get around in the snow, I mean she can get around in the snow. I do miss the Expedition though. It was a good rig but was getting a little long in the tooth.

river straps work awesome for tying stuff down. Thery are a 1 inch wide webbing with a cam on the other end. They come in sizes form 2 feet long to 20 feet long.
