Rode Gore Pass today

Where do you ride from up there? My uncle just built a house up on the gore this year and I have been curious to any riding opportunities when I am up there visiting...

You can park any where along the straight stretch and go North. You can also park at the Summit and head North. That will take you a little laower towards Red Dirt Res. There are lots of roads that aren't maintained but they basically end up in the same place, Buffalo Park. It's a huge basin. Funner than heck to play in. The only problem I have ever had leaving from the Gore are fences. The snow is a couple feet shallower than RE and barely covers the wires. you have to either know where you are or watch for posts like a hawk. Tons of small valley and drainage's to bang in and out of. The snow is way different than RE. It doesn't base up as solid, when you break through the crust it's over. Dig out and turn around. With the major temperature changes that place sees in one day just create sugar snow
