I am new to Rocky Mountain House and wanted to know about local riding areas. Does anyone know if Sugar bowl near Abraham lake is still open? Or of any other areas that could have some powder before Onion Lake, Hummingbird, e.t.c? I see Golden is only 340km away so a day trip is possible. But I'm not a fan of expecting a day in mountains to go as scheduled.

Also are there any local riding clubs?
