Rocky Mountain HIGH

disgusting

It's really disheartening to see the majority of the snowmobiling community demonstrating their general intolerance and backwards-assed opinions online, associated with something I hold dear to my heart, that being snowmobiling.

If you want to propogate your right-wing conservative agenda, stick to the fox news website message boards with your buddies and don't mention anything about snowmobiles, we have a bad enough image as a group as it is.

If you don't like marijuana, don't use it. If you smoke cigarettes and drink alcohol and think that's just dandy you're head is up your a$$. I take care of patients every day that are chronic drinkers and smokers. They're unhealthy. Somehow I don't find myself taking care of any "stoners."

I offer this as a parallel. "If you are against abortion, don't have one, otherwise STFU." I feel the same way about medical marijuana use. If you have a legitimate reason to use this kind of alternative medicine, and it is a good solution for you, in Colorado it is legal and you should be allowed to use it without any harassment from others. If you are more comfortable using opiates for pain control and antiemetics for nausea that's fine. Enjoy being constipated. Feel free to party it up with Rush Limbaugh.

I can't wait to get off work tonight to have a beer. :beer;

It look's like you just have general distain against right wingers and the republican party from your post and signature!
I suggest sitting back toking one up and see how much help teh party of choice give's you and keeping the sport you hold dear to your heart alive.

My problem with that stinky a$$ chit is the same I have with smoking. You go to a public place and people start lighting up and then I have to deal with the smoke and smell.

I go to a public place and drink I certainly dont start pi$$ing on everyone's feet!

I don't deny this, although I will admit I voted for GW the first go around. I'm not above trying to think outside the box. The signature was new for today, I'm trying in a really immature way to offset the plethora of anti-Obama sig's here...

I agree with you that the powers behind the Democratic party are not on my side when it comes to land use, hence my vote against Al Gore in 2000. At the time it seemed like the best choice I could make to protect backcountry access. If I knew where we'd be today I might have made a different choice but hindsight is 20/20.

I guess my problem isn't with political parties so much as with people that think that their opinion is the only valid one, and as such everyone else should behave as if that opinion is fact and indisputable.

If you want to drink, and can avoid pi$$ing on other people while doing so good for you. Try not to piss on other people's personal choices at the same time.

You must have a very small practice. I take care of stoners pretty much on a daily basis. Right along with Meth heads, crack heads , drunks, and chronic cigarette smokers. Drug addition is the same regardless of the poison.

The problem lies in that the OVERWHELMING majority of "medical marijuana" users do not have a "legitimate" need. It was legalized to help patient with extreme chronic pain. To help with chemo patients and people with advanced glaucoma. Not for aches and pains related to day to day life.

Smoke it if you like. I personally think it is far less harmful than alcohol. But don't delude yourself, it is still an addictive drug and has proven to be harmful to many people.

Hard core stoners and just as sick as hard core drinkers.
If you can enjoy it in moderation then you are one of the lucky ones.

Regardless of who you voted for.

Legalize pot! We need more room temp IQs to mow our yards and wash our cars...

Whoa, Whoa, WHOA!

WTF are all my Mexican buddies going to do for a living then?????

Btw, Steamboat RN, I usually agree with you, but I call complete BS on you treating people who use pot as compared to Alcohol or cigarettes.

I don't smoke the crap, makes my brain hurt, but I have never seen anyone have some serious health issue JUST because of smoking pot. I DO on the other hand know personally 3 people that died of scirrosis (sp?) from drinking.

I have a number of friends that are health professionals & have had discussions about this with them & have never heard one of them make a claim like this, maybe marijuana use is much higher up in SB area, I could see that being a possibility, but I find it unlikely & very hard to believe.

The fact that alcohol is legal & pot is not is absolutely moronic in my opinion.

Maybe it's me, but i thought this was a snowmobile website. Seems a lot of people on here are too busy judging rather than riding.

Where's a mod, when you actually need one? Pls move this thread to an appropriate section, or delete like the others!

my suggestion: Get off your soapbox and get on a sled.

Or flame on, and prove how stupid this thread really is....:beer;

I decided on the trash. No offense. If J-fly comes back and picks up where he left off, we will see what happens.

Get on a sled? Am I missing something? It snowed on me on Berthoud today, but I think you may be a little over optimistic!!:D

This DID start out as a Colorado, rather local issue.

I'm goin to get my card!!!

Not saying that the stoners I see are there solely because of pot. And I'm not saying that I don't see as many or more that drink and smoke. The statement was made that smokers and drinkers are more sickly than stoners. That is just not true. Smoking is smoking, regardless what is in the smoke. And SMOKING is linked to many diseases. Trouble is that most people that smoke pot also smoke cigarettes and drink. So it is impossible to point a finger at one or the other as a cause from a persons illness.
And let's face it, stoners are just as likely to make errors in judgement and land up in the hospital. Snowboarders hitting trees, mtn bikers biffing it into rocks, skateboarders,... you name it I've seen them in my O.R.
Bottom line is that it is a drug and even the most benign drugs can have serious side effects on some people. People die from aspirin ,Tylenol and even from overdoses of certain vitamins. Can't watch daytime TV anymore without seeing some shiester lawer(redundant term) suing some drug company.
BTW, there is plenty of data available to show that Drug and Alcohol treatment centers across the country are treating thousands of patients for addiction to marijuana.

And I agree that it is moronic to have legal alcohol and not pot.

Soon your "medical marajuana" prescription will be paid for with tax dollars under YoBamaCare. Small businesses will be pealized 7% of your payroll to fund J-Fly's Cronic Pain self-medication habbit.

Next, we'll have people demanding "Medical Rum & Cokes" to help with their "Cronic Reality" disease, and "Medical Camels" to help calm the nerves of the caregivers living under YoBamaCare!

One doctor in Colorado gave out 385 "patient cards" in a day. Thats one diagnosis and prescription every 2 minutes with no lunch break. I doubt this wave of legalized stonings is anywhere near legit.

I think this entire mess is sponsored by Cheetos.

MD.

I injured my back yesterday. Heading to Summit for my card and a pizza. Maybe Minturn for a political lift from the Democratic Party. Didn't Obama promise a free TV to everyone? Can't remember, there were so many wonderful things in his speeches. How's that Hopie changie thing working out for everybody.

And yes Doo, this is sponsored by Cheeto's
