I just noticed this on their schedule. I am contemplating giving it a go if I can figure out what all one needs to do to run the old guy amateur class? If they even have one at this event. I know JH has an amateur hour but not sure about here? I have looked through the RMSHA rule book as well as the ISR rule book, clear as mud I tell ya. I have no idea if my sled will even qualify ??

Anyone here giving it a go??

This is sure to be an awesome event.
Contact dennis at weekender in hotchkiss for race questions.

I can't wait. They will be running right under one of the lifts on the mountain, should make for some exciting race views!

Thanks! I have an email into RMSHA with my questions, I thought about calling Dennis, just didn't want to bug him with stupid newb questions. I'm glad they got this going this year!! Might just have to spectate this year and see what it requires just for a local guy to give it a go.

Okay, spoke to the promoter (Dennis) for this event, beings this will be the first year at Powder Horn they chose to not have a locals class. I completely understand and totally agree with this thinking, need this to go well this first year and then hopefully the locals class will be added next year. Hopefully this event will be well received and supported, grab your friends and come on out to show support.
