Rmk vs sks

Hey guys. Looking to dump my 13 pro. Local dealer has a demo voodoo blue sks. Can anyone compare it to my 13?

I live in central Canada so the cooling is appealing to me what's the handling like? Suspension?

Same track, better everything else compared to your Pro, except possibly the lack of belt drive which everyone has there own opinion on.

The stock QuickDrives™ on the AXYS-Mtn sleds have proven to be pretty reliable and you really are not hearing of many issues from owners... I'm a chaincase guy...but that is personal pref I guess.

The SKS has 'clicker' shocks...but not the heavier 5/8" shafts or bottom-out protection of the needles that the Assaults have....This makes a difference in how the shock works... a clicker shocks with 1/2" shafts do not have the same amount of compression control as the 5/8" shaft shocks (regarless of brand)... For the shocks... I look at the stock SKS as "improved from Pro".

Is your's an in-season or "snow check" model?

Which track did it come with?

The cooler is a great feature that I wish Polaris would offer as a snowcheck option on all of the sleds they make.

Not much else different... they are fun to ride.

.

I haven't seen the sled in person. It's a dealer demo with 267 miles. They say it's voodoo blue so I'm thinking it was the snow check one. I know the 2016 in season was black with blue. Im waiting on pictures

Ok. So I'm gathering the shocks will be somewhere between my pro and my old assault which I'm ok with. Is the rear skid in the sks a cool over or a torsion spring. I've never looked under one on a dealer floor.

I have both and will honestly say the sks is superior in most every way.
Better shocks, better cooling including thermostats system, stronger engine, stronger rails, and about the same weight as your pro.

I'm pretty sure the rails and engine are the same........

Coil spring on rts basically a Rmk pro with heat exchanger and clicker shocks

sks has aluminum over structure. in season track is 2.4 which the same as '13 pro. Snow check track options are 2.25 peak, 2.4, and 2.6 like new pro RMK. clicker shocks, front tunnel cooler, chain drive, e start is a SC option but standard on in season sleds. i have a '17 snow check all black with 2.6 track and no e start that i am thinking of selling if anyone is interested. i just injured my hand and probably can't ride this year.

I went from a 14 Pro to a SKS and there is no comparison, love the handling and power. I went with the SKS because I wanted the front cooler and I like the chain case durability.
