RMK 900 Shovel for Rack

Does anyone know where I can get the Ploaris shovel that fits the rack on my 05 RMK 900? I saw one at the Nevada County fair (Grass Valley, CA where I live) on a Sheriff's search and rescue sled. I thought about it for a second there but came to my senses and didn't "borrow" it!! :face-icon-small-dis

I bought mine in 07 with my sled, it was a Poo accessory, but I can't find it on Poo's website now... discontinued possibly?

ya, they have been discontinued for a while now. There was one of the shovel companies that was making them out of metal, but I'm not sure which company it was or if they are still available ( I want to say it was S.O.S.) .

Looked at a couple at the snow show this weekend and the BCA Companion shovel looked VERY similar, but didn't have a rack to test fit it in:(

I hope you'd be using it simply as a back up as all riders should keep a shovel in their back pack as per ALL avalanche training experts at all times. BTW, plastic shovels suck. Find a metal blade and grind some grooves into the plastic and find a clamp that you can rivet down that will retain the handle...recommendation only as long as this is not your only shovel.

Plastic shovel that mounts in the stock mount is good for digging your sled out, easier than taking your pack off every time to get your shovel, but the corners chip and crack on them after a while.

Here is the polaris part number for the plastic shovel kit might be able to search around and find one. .
