I am considering buying a 700 rmk 08 but have heard that some have problems with them takes a lot of gasoline and is struggling to keep rpms???what do you think about this

I could never get rpms out of mine tried everything if you can try to find an 07 D7 I think you will be happy and all the 07's had dual ring pistons where some of the 08's had single ring pistons. :face-icon-small-hap

Haven't had issues with RPMs except when the springs were getting a little tired at 1800 miles. Changed them and right back where we needed to be. 2008 700 RMK

No problems with my 08 D7.2200+ trouble free miles.Pulls 8000-8100 rpm at altitude.
As Hardhat said better on gas than the wife's 07 RMK 600 carbed.

Down on power a little bit from my 07 Summit X,but reliable. The only time the tow rope has been out is to tow someone else out.

Great sled, great power out of a 7! I'm at 2000 miles and it is pulling stronger than ever at 8250 rpms at 9,000 - 11,000 feet. Make sure you are running the 115 belt, using the backup belt will drop you 200-300 rpms right now. Also, replace your clutch springs every 1000 miles.

Great sled. I ride 5000-8000' 95% of the time. 1800 miles on non ethenol 89-91 at 8500 rpm. I think my range is 80 +/- miles per tank or 2/3 of a tank for a full day of trees and some climbing plus the trail back home.

I keep fresh springs and good venting.
