Rmk 700 136-144

Hey guys, i just got an 01 rmk 700 and its been extended to a 144x16 wide track. The guy put it on in the off season and put a new driver on it and stuff like that but he didnt extend the tunnel. The track doesnt hang out on anything but one of my buddies new a guy that went from a 151 to a 159 without a tunnel extension and he said when he jump he had problems with the track hitting the tunnel.

Will this happen to me?

just sit on the back of the sled like almost by the bumper and see if you come close to the tunnel when you or a larger buddy bounces on it also make sure when its compressed that the snow flap isn't to close to the track or it will get sucked in all the time

What he said. That really isnt that much of a change. You shoule be ok, but I woulnt go without checking it.

Another thing to watch for on your set up is that the rear cooler is gettin appropriate snow thrown on it from the new lengthened track. I know that sometimes those coolers are strategically placed by the manufacturer so the tracks throw snow on them to help cool the sled.

Just make sure your new longer track is adequately cooling that rear heat exchanger.

Congrats on the new sled man!! We have 4 or 5 Gen II chassis...700's and 800's and they are really good sleds:)

Thanks, Yeah, i just had to run out to the shop and look at the flap,

It should be ok, theres a couple inches of space between the track and flap.,

And besides i wont be reversing and when your riding throw is being thrown at the flap so i dont see how it can really come forward.

The track lug is not tall enough so when i sit on it the flap doesnt hit the track even when i pull the flap so it sitting point straight down.
