RK TEK HEAD with TMX 38's! Decrease in jetting? Please help!

Hey guys,

I am using TMX race carbs bored to 40.5 by dynatek-racing on my 600cc engine with an RK TEK head 13.1.

I was wondering if anything out there hs run an rk tek ehad either the STOCK TMX 38's or the bored TMX 40.5mm? Just curious if those carbs require sucha main jet reduction as the rack 40's? I would think it wouldn't be a drastic as the jet tube shroud if pretty efficient. PLEASE let me know! Want to get this dialed in! THANKS guys! -Chris

I have run tmx's on a 800. Can't remember exactly what I ended up with.
The thing is jetting can vary so much from one sled to another.
Fuel quality, porting, elevation, pipe/can, etc. all will influence jetting.
I ran very close to stock main with mine.
That was on my specific engine with the jetting as lean as I am comfortable with.

Thank you!

Were you running RK TEK i am assuming?

What is considered "stock" jetting on your set of TMX's?

With powerjet mine is 280..without its considered about 360.. What did you have done to engine? thank you sir! I appreciate it!
