Has anyone tried to run and advanced timing key in there DI kit? I read that the north star kit runs a key to help make power in there kit. Just don't know how much... The north star kit increases port timing with the use a spacer and rk uses shorter pistons with a head to make up the compression.
Also if you read the dynotech jims stuff the achieved big gains using a spacer and an advanced key. I don't see why it wouldn't work with the added port timing of the DI kit...
The dynotech report says the spacer (added port timing) made no more power with just the spacer and even with added fuel to make up for the extra airflow, still no gains. Then added the timing (2.5 deg I think) and voila 12 hp with the stock pipe!
I am no expert on this just looking for input, also I intend to try it. Unless someone can give me a good reason not to.
