i would recommend putting on a Pivot style riser, it will help you stay more in the middle of your sled when riding and wont push your bars straight back into you. I have done both ways, a pivot style riser and just a normal block riser, trust me go to the pivot style.
2 ways to do this.
1.) you can just buy the Pivot block adapter to make your handlebars a T-bar, than you can get any Polaris or Arctic cat Pivot style riser block, they have the same bolt on measurements. Than you can put on a 2 in riser block without having to get longer cables. Any taller than you will need longer cables, I have this on my 94 XLT, but I have a 4.5 riser and had to put on throttle extension and brake cable.
2.) You can cut off the flat mount on the end or steering post and weld in a piece of Stock steel round to the top of your steering post to make it a T-bar mount like on all of the new sleds. Than you can get a pivot styel riser and should be able to go up to a 4.5 riser without new cables. This is what I have on my 92 Indy 500.
