Riser for telescopic bars?

I'm looking at purchasing a 2010 XF 800 SP. As I am fairly tall, the handlbars are still low for me when standing, even when they are fully extended. My dealer says a riser can't be installed on telescopic bars. Ideally, I would like at least a 2 possibly 3 inch riser installed. Has anyone done so and is it difficult as it appears the cables are all fixed in place on the bars.

I use a AMP 2 inch riser that also moves the bars 1 1/2 inches forword.

I put the same 2" AMP riser on and I'm 6'4" .... It's just about right

I assume with the 2 inch riser that no extensions are required on the brakes, cable or electrical. Am I correct?

Yup, might have to re toute your brake cable for A little extra room, if you look the cab;e is routed around a bunch of diffrent stuff. I just made a straight path for the cabe, got me tons of room

Heres a picture of them on my 09 hcr. The forward position is great even when the bars aren't all the way down.
