I have had the great fortune to be a part of the Twisted Terrain Ride Rasmussen Style Clinic held January 17th through the 20th in Cle Elum, WA. I went into the clinic as a fair rider but want to be so much more and after seeing the Schooled and Schooled Again films, I knew this was just what I needed. What I got was so much more than a class on how to turn a sled. I was blown away at the professional organization of Twisted Terrain productions and the attention to detail in everything they did. The instructions given by Mr. Rasmussen and his assistant Tony was invaluable, on the snow and off and in 3 days I went from being a relatively conservative rider to a more aggressive confident rider with my new found skills. The discussions before and after the rides were just as important to our instructions. Never once did I feel my safety or the safety of anyone else in our group was in jeopardy. The safety requirements of Mr. Rasmussen and his team were unyielding and diligent at all times. We all wore beacons and most had shovels and backpacks. The accommodations were plush and the food was, well, just incredible. I am not new to riding or snow conditions having spent 6 years in Alaska and have also ridden in Oregon, Idaho, and Washington. I am proud to say that I am already signed up to attend the clinic at Mt. Baker in April and will continue to support Mr. Rasmussen's efforts to better the sport. I encourage anyone that wants to improve their riding skills to join with confidence that you will not be disappointed. I suggest you get a spot reserved before they fill up; I look forward to being schooled again. Thanks to Bret Rasmussen, Tony Jenkins and Jana and her team at Twisted Terrain for all that you do for this sport.
