Riding up the Salmo/Creston??

Its a good place to ride

Yeah...the salmo area is good....I'm a bonners ferry guy and when there were all the priest lake closures we would go ride salmo area quite a bit... The type of riding is mainly boondocking coupled with short climbs....longest climbs are maybe 300 yards or so... I like the place....its not my fav....but its good....Kip

Lots of tree riding. Parking is very limited at the place I went to a couple years ago. Good snow though. My mom lives in Creston, so I am slowly getting to learn a few areas around there....still prefer Revy.

Great snow, not a lot of traffic, mostly boondocking as people have already said. I have had many great pow days without seeing anyone else out there. Lots of the terrain north of the highway is private property and is only accesable by members of the Kokanee country and Beavervalley sled clubs are allowed to use it.

No grooming, some maps of riding areas to be found here..

yeah - some of the "local" clubs were on a power trip about some of the areas they had designated as "their" riding areas.

As DaveB said, not much "wild" riding there.

PM me for more info.

Some tucked away areas to ride around the top and beyond not much open ground you can seek out some challenging terrain and as mentioned towards the north club access. I believe a caribou closed area still in effect towards Wall Mtn should be posted with signs. It’s been a few seasons since I have ridden this area and went up via Sheep Creek. If you go this way just stop once in awhile listen, if you hear the sound of banjos….. Pin It
