Recently moved to Edmonton from Ontario and trying to get back in to sledding (still gotta buy a new sled... 121" won't cut it anymore lol) I've searched the forums and see most guys are driving about 5-6 hours to Valemount, McBride, or Golden. That's all good, but is there anywhere closer to just mess around in some smaller foothills or anything for a day? I only have a couple people to ride with at the moment and they typically are away at work when I'm off, so anything where I could get in some decent riding for a day trip without forking over cash for accommodations to ride would be ideal.
